Snackie, the Swingin' Swamis' musical director, manager & co-founder, is also
the band's keyboardist.
Since
1987, Snackie has enjoyed success as a composer, producer and performance
artist. His comedy musical troupe, "Pornflakes", recorded and performed
extensively from 1992-1996.
Snackie
has recorded, produced and performed with a wide range of musically talented persons,
including Landis McCord of the All
Mighty Senators, Bob Babbitt, Greg
Thomkins, The
Baltimore Afrobeat Society, Kelly Shepard, Lou
Rainone, Miyuki Furtado of the The
Rogers Sisters & Shock
Cinema, Eric Kennedy, Felicia Carter,
Mark Harp, The Lee Harvey Keitel Band and Buttsteak.
As
a performance artist, Snackie produced several cabaret shows. "The Gong Show"
( a 1993 production of the original TV show) sold out shows at Baltimore's "The
14Karat Cabaret". "Sapatac" (a sappy song contest) began in
1994 and its success spawned two more productions in 1996 and 1999. Snackie
currently holds the title of "Sap King".
Snackie
has composed and arranged music for the theatre, including Judith (1996-Mongrel
Theatre, Baltimore, MD) &
The Go-Go Pirate Show (2003-Fluid
Movement, Baltimore, MD).
Formal
musical training includes: Peabody Institute, Baltimore, Maryland (1985); Towson
University, Towson, Maryland (1986); and private instruction in piano with Lou
Rainone (2000).
