Melissa
"Ultra" Sharlat started playing underneath her parent's piano at the
tender age of three. One day she actually played it, and has been performing ever
since.
Voted Baltimore's Best Solo Music Artist in 2003, Ms. Sharlat
has performed with The Vitamen, The Bigtops, 4 miles, Flo, Urania, Under the Noise,
Scapegoat, and The Difference. Guest vocals include The Almighty Senators, Clay
People, Pornflakes, Acoustitronics, Athena Burke and Georgie Jessup.
In the world of theater, Ms. Ultra co-wrote and starred as Christina Crawford
in the musical "Dearest Mommy" and shook her stuff in Fluid Movement's
"1001 Freudian Nights" and "Go-Go Pirate Show." Guest theatrical
spots include Black Cherry Puppet Theater, Motherlode Theater Company, OPUS B,
and Camelback Productions.
A founding member and performer with the
highly acclaimed comedy/improvisation troupe - The Flying Tongues, Ms. Melissa
toured the country with them and quit after she made her millions.
